Last week was a very busy week for us.
We started reading our class novel In the Year of the Boar and Jackie Robinson. We have had great discussions about the differences in cultures. They are very excited to continue to see what will happen to Bandit as she leaves for America.
In Religion we had a short unit on Strong families. On Friday, each team put on a skit about what makes a strong family. I was very proud of them.
In math we will continue to work with place value and decimals. We will be going to the thousandths place and continue to convert decimals to fractions and fractions to decimals.
Science we will continue our unit on Weather and Social Studies we are talking about who Our Native Americans are and where they came from.
In Communications we will be learning about and writing Personal Narratives.
The first week of school, the class wrote our class Mission Statement. I am very proud of what the class did. On Friday, Father Santiago came into our class and gave his blessing to the Mission Statement and to the class. Our Mission Statement will be part of this blog. Please view it at the bottom of this page.
I look forward to seeing all of you at Back to School Night this Wednesday, September 11 at 6PM.
Thank you for all of your support.
